Topic: The phenomenon of superconductivity.
Objective: To identify the physical causes of superconductivity.
Subject of Research: The electric fi eld of a rotating charge carrier.
Research Method: Application of the principles of the system theory of the electric fi eld, as outlined in the reference 1.
Main Results:
1. The emergence of an electrokinetic fi eld initiated by the rotational motion of a charge carrier has been established, and its primary characteristics have been determined.
2. It has been discovered that a rotating electron, due to the radial component of the electrokinetic field, can act as a center of attraction for another non-rotating electron; this explains the formation and existence of a pair of bound electrons, known as a Cooper pair.
3. A description of the crystal structure formed under certain conditions within the electron gas of metals is provided.
4. It is shown that the electron crystal possesses a positive surface charge, which prevents it from colliding with the ions of the crystal lattice. The prevention of these collisions leads to a reduction in the electrical resistance of the metal, ultimately resulting in a transition to a superconducting state.
