Abstract

The topic of the paper is the behavior of the electric fi eld for various types of translational motion of a point charge carrier. The goal of the paper is to derive an equation that reflects the state of the electric fi eld, and to investigate its solutions for different types of motion. The object of the study is the electric fi eld of a charge carrier undergoing translational motion. The method of the study involves using the results of theoretical mechanics in combination with the principles of the Systematic Theory of the Electric Field outlined in a Russian language (ISBN: 978-613-9-45190-6) or English-language paper (ISBN: 978-613-9-93202-3).

The basic results are as follows: 1) The equation for the state of the electric fi eld of a moving charge carrier has been derived. 2) Solutions to the equation for uniform, uniformly accelerated and oscillating motion of a charge carrier have been found and studied. 3) It was proven that in uniform motion, the electric fi eld does not undergo any distortions, which enables us to strictly substantiate – rather than postulate – the invariance of the laws of physics with respect to the transition from one inertial frame of reference to another. 4) It was established that uniformly accelerated motion of a charge carrier causes deformation of the electric fi eld, as a result of which it acquires electrodynamic intensity, which is one of the causes of the inertia of bodies. 5) When analyzing the solution of the equation describing oscillating motion: 5.1) the possibility of the appearance of extremely great electrodynamic intensity values, which are the cause of photoelectric effect, has been revealed 5.2) a previously unknown mechanism of synchrotron radiation generation has been detected, 5.3) an original interpretation of the results of the Davisson–Germer experiment has been given, which refutes wave-particle duality of micro-objects.
