The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is a vital pillar in building a respected and cohesive knowledge network. It serves as an unbiased confirmation of both the quality of the author's work and the support from their affiliated institutions. SCIVOLVE is committed to publishing high-quality articles while adhering to the principles of publication ethics to foster scientific progress. We expect our authors to follow best practices in publication ethics and ensure the quality of their submissions.
Occasionally, authors may request to withdraw their manuscript from the publication process, either after submission or even post-publication. Such requests, particularly when made shortly before the publication date, can result in wasted time, effort, and resources for our editors, reviewers, and staff.
To minimize unnecessary withdrawals, we have implemented the following policy. Authors and co-authors must carefully consider the following points before requesting a withdrawal:
If the manuscript was submitted by mistake or submitted to another journal simultaneously, violating SCIVOLVE's submission policy.
Authors may withdraw their manuscript for personal or professional reasons. However, this must be done before the manuscript enters the advanced stages of the editorial process.
All authors, including the corresponding author and co-authors, should verify the list of authors, their roles, and the integrity of the manuscript before submission. Any disagreements among authors should be resolved prior to submitting the manuscript for publication.
Research students or researchers must obtain permission from their mentors or professors before submitting manuscripts to our journals.
Authors are required to adhere to the publication ethics outlined on our instructions for authors’ page.
It is unacceptable to withdraw a manuscript from our journal simply because it has been accepted elsewhere.
Authors should ensure the accuracy and error-free presentation of facts and data before submitting a manuscript.
All authors must agree to publish the articles in the specific journal before submission.
Withdrawing a manuscript at an advanced stage in the editorial process, particularly when peer reviews are nearing completion, is unacceptable unless there are compelling reasons.
Authors may withdraw a manuscript within 48 hours of submission without incurring a withdrawal penalty. If a withdrawal is requested after the peer review process, during production (early release or ahead of publishing), or after online publication, a withdrawal penalty will apply. Manuscripts may only be withdrawn once the penalty has been fully paid. In accordance with this policy, withdrawal charges will be applied where applicable.
SCIVOLVE may offer APC waivers or discounts to authors from low-income countries or in cases where funding is unavailable. Authors may apply for a waiver during the submission process.
Discounts on APCs may be available for authors who are members of partner institutions or who have previously published with SCIVOLVE.
